Louise
Parrack was born and raised in Elgin County and then moved and lived for thirty years on
the banks of the Sydenham river near Strathroy Ontario, where she continued to
paint, a hobby she learned as a child while attending Fingal Public school.
On Her frequent trips to North Vancouver
Island she became fond of the beauty, power and intelligence of the Orca whale
which soon came to be one of her favourite subjects along with west coast
scenery and flowers.
Louise’s
paintings reflect her two main loves, travel and nature. Her love of nature is
evident in the skilful almost spiritual way she captures light projected through
trees or reflected upon water. Shapes, patterns and designs are important to her
in her subjects. In many of her paintings one feels a close up lens has been
used to catch the details of nature.
Her
paintings have been handled by galleries across Canada and are in both
private and corporate collections in the United States, Canada and Australia.
